General Ideas

• venue: someplace close to Denton Square, like Women's Club
• invitations: make them a riddle or puzzle to find the venue...?
  • also--scavenger map / camera, etc.
• more of a "theme" by adding more of the scavenger thing to it? or "photographer for a day?" something...
• party favors (afterward): mini photo albums with images from the hunt and general party images

Photo Scavenger Hunt

• have a different list for each group, with items selected off a master item bank
  • (that way, each item will be photographed multiple times, but no group will have the exact same list as another group)
• hand each group a stack of index cards with the items written on them
  • they take a photo of the index card first, to label the item
  • then take the image
  • one appropriate quote per item? or is that too much?
  • how many items per group?
• disposable digital cameras (and those who bring their own can use them)
• on and around the Denton Square
• how long should the hunt last? one hour, or longer?
• how many groups? probably about 4-6 people per group
• have awards (not necessarily for aesthetics--creativity, humor, bizarre, etc.)
• who will judge the images and collate into a slideshow? how long might that take?!

Photo Scavenger Hunt Rules

• You're getting a stack of cards with words or phrases on them. Take a photo of something that represents or makes you think of the word on each card.
• You can go anywhere on or around the square, inside or outside.
• Be sure everyone in the group gets to take or direct a picture.
• This isn't a professional photography contest. You're getting points for creativity, humor, and pure weirdness, as well as aesthetics.
• Keep the images family-friendly.
