SL Thoughts
So, there's been a lot of buzz about the SecondLife Library and using it to reach out to people that wouldn't usually use the library. Most of the discussion seems centered (logically) around public libraries. And I wonder--are college kids using SL? Is this a valid experiment for academic libraries, as well?
First, I've got to actually reach the library. I'm still learning how to stumble around--and for some reason, can't get the knack of moving items around. Despite the orientation instructions.
Is this a valid form of outreach, or is it technolust?
