Abstract

Hurricanes Gustav and Ike affected many Texas communities, from those directly hit to those that sheltered evacuees. In such disasters, our libraries can be powerful partners, both engaging evacuees and helping communities recover. Listen as librarians share innovative methods of bringing programming and library services to communities affected by disasters.

Speaker Contract Info

Now you just need to sign the speaker contract, using your PIN.

Here are the instructions for the speaker contract:

*Go to this link: https://secure.txla.org/secure/events/eventMtgSpeakerLogin.asp where you will be asked to log in using your PIN number and last name.

*At this point, a link to a contract will appear.

*You will then have the option to review all the information in the contract and either accept the terms, or contact me, as the planner, to make changes. If you want a hard copy of the entire speaker contract, you will need to print the file while you are still online and when you actually have the contract open.

Once the contract is accepted, no further revisions or additions can be made to the speakers section of the Conference Event form. If additional changes are necessary, e.g.; add another night of housing, I will need to contact TLA so they can manually input that updated information.

If you are not comfortable transmitting your social security number over the Internet (even though it is a secure site), there is a link to the IRS form W-9, “Request for Taxpayer Identification Number” that may be mailed to the TLA office.

Let me know if you have any problems!
