Meeting Goals:

• give feedback on survey wording/content
• update on project/bring Starr up to speed
• discuss creation of Collection Plans

Collection Plans

• will be created by project curators
  • for UNT, Valerie and Starr will collaborate
• will have four weeks to complete
  • UNT's will be used as one of the two sample plans
  • our sample will use a real collection
  • don't shape the plan to the tools (dream)
  • we will also provide feedback on the documents/process
    • use the "track changes" setting in MS Word
    • filenames should roughly follow convention, add "cmmt" if applicable
• touch-base meeting: August 2nd, 11am
• preliminary due date: August 15th
• two documents are involved
  • collection plan guidelines
    • includes a glossary
  • collection plan template
    • open "new document," then select template
    • save with filename convention, use initials/date
    • add text where noted in this document
